Gypsophila cerastiodes
€5,90
Gypsophila cerastiodes is a magnificent cushion-forming perennial that has alpine resilience to both drought and frost.
The flowers are delicate, large and white, delicately veined with purple.
The leaves are densely packed, spatula-shaped, and covered in fine hairs, forming loose rosettes. This creates an almost bouncy cushion form upon which the white flowers bloom.
The leaf arrangement helps protect it from the cold and water loss - an adaptation to the difficult environment which brought it to life - the Himalayas.
