Collection of Ornamental Grasses & Sedges
Grasses and sedges bring something to a garden that almost nothing else can — movement, texture, and structure that hold their own through every season. Whether you're after the copper shimmer of a Carex in a winter border, the feathery plumes of a Stipa catching afternoon light, or the bold architectural sweep of a Miscanthus, this collection covers the full range.
Unlike many flowering perennials, ornamental grasses and sedges earn their place all year. Most are fully evergreen or semi-evergreen, genuinely low-maintenance, and remarkably resilient — many thrive in poor soil, tolerate drought once established, and need little more than a light comb-through in late winter.
They work in borders, gravel gardens, pots, prairie-style planting, and as foils for flowering perennials. Few plants are as versatile, or as rewarding for the effort they require.
