🌿 Garden Design


We create custom gardens tailored to your land, your style, and your climate. From the initial sketch to the detailed plan, we can guide you through the design of an outdoor space that is harmonious, sustainable, and easy to maintain.

1. Send us a photo of your space - if you have a vision of what you'd like it to be (more edible, more green, more flowery, more red/blue/climbing, less thorns) anything you have on your mind, send that along too! Any information concerning exposition/soil is always helpful :)

 


2. We'll send you back a sketch of what your resilient garden could look like - complete with our locally grown, long term flowering, drought tolerant perennials.

With a planting map in case you prefer to do the planting yourself!

 

🏗️ Garden Installation

If you're based in the Deux-Sèvres (79), plant d'Avenir also offers full installation services for your custom garden. Along with general ecosystem-maintenance services.

🍂 Mulching

  • Organic mulch application (bark, wood chips, gravel, or pine needles)
  • Mineral mulching for drought-resistant beds (gravel, pozzolan, slate)
  • Seasonal mulch top-ups to retain soil moisture through summer heat
  • Weed-barrier mulching around shrubs and perennials
  • Decorative mulching to enhance borders and pathways

🌱 General Upkeep

  • Bed weeding and edge maintenance
  • Irrigation system checks and drip-line adjustments
  • Lawn care and edging (where applicable)
  • Seasonal clean-up of dead growth and fallen leaves
  • Soil enrichment with compost or organic amendments
  • Monitoring for pests, disease, and water stress

✂️ Pruning and Care

  • Formative pruning for young shrubs and trees
  • Shape and rejuvenation pruning for established plants
  • Deadheading to encourage repeat flowering
  • Removal of dead, damaged, or diseased wood
  • Seasonal pruning aligned with Mediterranean growth cycles (light spring shaping, harder autumn cutbacks)

🌳 Planting Shaded Groves


Create natural pockets of coolness in your garden with our shaded grove plantings. We select local, drought-resistant species for lasting, eco-friendly shade.
