€5,90
Pycnanthemum verticillatum is a fragrant mountain mint that is covered in magnificent white flowers all summer long.
The leaves are very fragrant, narrow, nearly needle-shaped.
-
- 🍵 Excellent for infusions and syrups, as it has an extra potent mint-taste. Maybe a wild mountain taste? I'll let the taste experts decide.
The flowers are tiny, appearing in clusters for most of the summer.
-
- 🦋 It is considered high in nectar resources for pollinators and attracts a diverse set of pollinators including bees, wasps, moths, and butterflies.
The Tales:
"pyknos" means "dense", "tight", or "close-packed" and "anthos" means flower so you have a general idea right from the get go!
⛰️ Aside from being powerfully fragrant and a wonderful choice for infusions, Pycnanthemum, being a mountain plant, is also skilled at controlling erosion, especially on a hillside or mountain.
