Phlox subulata Candy Stripes (also known as Kimono) is an beautiful ground cover, creating evergreen carpets that are covered in flowers in the spring.
The leaves are small, medium green leaves that root easily - allowing for the carpet to form quickly.
The flowers are wonderfully unique and fun. They are star-shaped, pure white with candy-pink stripes that are reminiscent of a candy cane or a barber shop pattern.
They cover the entirety of the leaves, forming a dense blanket of striped flowers that is just a spectacular sight to behold.
They are rustic, robust and can handle pretty much any soil situation, making them ideal for crevasses and nooks that look a little sad. The evergreen aspect makes her a year-round beauty.
