Leymus arenarius

Leymus arenarius is a perennial grass belonging to the Poaceae (grass) family. It forms a dense, upright clump with an elegant, architectural shape. Long-lived and highly ornamental, it is prized for its linear, silvery-blue foliage, covered with a powdery bloom (glaucous coating) that gives the plant its distinctive appearance.

The broad evergreen leaves measure approximately 8–15 cm wide and up to 60 cm long. They are flat, with tips that curl slightly inward. In winter, the foliage takes on attractive yellow tones, adding seasonal interest to the garden.
