Eucalyptus parvifolia - 2L

This eucalyptus is perhaps one of the very best choices for French gardens, regardless of the region. This evergreen large shrub, reaching around 9 m (30 ft) in height, develops a dense crown that can sometimes cascade almost to the ground. It features striking red young shoots, mature olive-green sickle-shaped leaves, and small creamy-white pompom-like flowers appearing in late summer.

Its grey bark exfoliates in long ribbons, revealing attractive layers beneath in shades of grey, light brown, mahogany, and orange, creating year-round ornamental interest.

This gum tree is particularly valuable for its moderate size, making it suitable even for smaller gardens, its adaptability to a wide range of soils, and its excellent resistance to cold, damp conditions—down to around -18°C (0°F) once established. It tolerates both summer drought and cooler summers with limited sunshine, making it an exceptionally versatile and resilient eucalyptus.
