Eucalyptus nitens - 2L

This fast-growing Eucalyptus develops into a large, broadly conical tree with an impressive presence. Its substantial trunk is clothed in exceptionally ornamental, smooth bark in shades of pale grey, greenish-grey, cream, and light brown, peeling away in long, decorative ribbons to reveal fresh patches beneath.

The juvenile foliage is an attractive silvery-grey, gradually maturing to glossy deep green as the tree ages. Rich in essential oils, the leaves are highly aromatic, releasing the characteristic fresh eucalyptus fragrance when crushed or warmed by the sun.

In autumn, the tree produces clusters of small, fluffy white flowers resembling delicate pom-poms, adding further ornamental appeal and attracting pollinators.

Native to mountainous regions, this species has inherited excellent hardiness, making it suitable for cultivation throughout most parts of France.
